Skof
In Manchester’s NOMA district, SKOF is Tom Barnes’ first solo restaurant; a 36-cover dining room in a former textile warehouse serving modern, seasonal tasting menus in a relaxed setting, built on craft, great produce and simplicity. Barnes, a Roux Scholar and former L’Enclume executive head chef, adds a refined and contemporary voice to the city’s dining scene.
Our Key Contributions:
We curated and supplied a considered mix of front of house essentials and tableware to support SKOF’s modern tasting menu, pairing reliable staples such as Cutipol cutlery, with characterful ceramics and service pieces. The aim: pieces that feel at home in the room, plate cleanly on the pass, and stand up to daily service.
Knowing Tom was collaborating with a local ceramicist for the core service collection, we focused on complementary highlights; forms, textures and glazes that sat alongside the existing pieces, without crowding or duplicating them. Several items were developed around specific dishes and service moments, notably Samuel Sparrow’s teaware and bowls were designed and made especially for SKOF, tuned for pour control, heat retention and comfortable handling.
We handled specification, sourcing and delivery end to end, aligning finishes and sizing across courses and setting straightforward re-order pathways so the team can maintain service levels with minimal friction.
