Luke Hope designs and makes contemporary sculptural wooden tableware - spoons, plates, bowls, boards, and unique presentation pieces that add dimension without stealing focus.

His playful yet sophisticated designs often trick the eye through subtle dips, rises, and sharp flowing lines, inspired by natural landscapes, the folds of paper, or the drape of fabric. The result is work that feels both understated and dynamic, served on the tables of some of the world’s most celebrated restaurants and held in the collections of discerning chefs, galleries, and design enthusiasts worldwide.

With a love of light sycamore and dark walnut, these canvases allow him to balance minimal form with a quiet sense of movement. Each piece is meticulously finished with food-safe oils and waxes, designed for durability and daily use in service. Wooden tableware made to last for generations, maintained and re-oiled over time, not replaced.

Over the past decade, he has built a loyal international audience through his Instagram presence @hopeinthewoods, where Luke Hope Design Studio documents its journey, continuing to innovate and inspire.

If you’re as in love with Hope in the Woods as we are, we’d love to hear from you. There really is no limit to their creativity, so if you have a bespoke project we’re here to help.
